Our General Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Our meetings compromize of socializing, club business/announcements and either a guest speaker or a fun social activity. Our meetings are for our Moms and nursing infants only.

For events this month please visit our MDMC Calendar. Login required.

For login privileges for current members please contact MDMC Moderator.

For membership information contact our Membership Coordinator.

To be a speaker at our monthly meetings, contact our Speaker Coordinator.

Our playgroups provide friendship, fun and socialization for children as well as moms. Playgroups ideally consist of six to eight moms and their children, who meet weekly at a designated time and place. Playgroups are organized according to the age of the children, usually within a six month age span.

Members of each playgroup select their meeting place and activities based on the personality and ages of the children in the group as well as the needs and desires of the moms. Most playgroups meet at parks in the summer and members home during the cold winter months.

Book Club
The book club meets every six weeks on a Tuesday night at a local restaurant. Along with enjoying a wonderful meal out, members discuss a book that everyone has read. It is an evening of good food and good discussions with a group of wonderful women. Books are decided on by members. Everyone gets to pick a book to read and the book can be serious, silly or interesting. The club’s reading interests reflect the interest of members. For information, contact Book Club Organizer

Chix Flix
The 3rd Wednesday of each month will be scheduled for a girls evening out at the movies. Members going to a chix flix event usually meet at a coffee house near the movies and then walk over to the movie together. For information, contact Chix Flix Organizer

Scrappy’s
The regular nights for Scrappy’s are the 2nd Thursday of the month and the 3rd Monday of the month. At the meetings members work on their scrapbooks, take time out to be with other moms and enjoy a social night out. If you have ever thought about scrapbooking (it’s never too late) and would love to have some quiet time to spend working, consider joining this fun sub-club.POSTION OPEN

Working Moms
The working moms sub-club provides an opportunity for members who work to socialize and meet with other working moms and even trade tips on how to balance their professional and personal life. Everyone is welcome, whether working outside of the home or are considering joining the workforce after some time at home. For information, contact Working Moms Organizer

Hiking club
The hiking club is for anyone who wants to hit the trails with their stroller or kids. Come join us for some fresh air and a little workout. Hikes are being planned both on trails and on paved walkways like the canal trails and around Lafayette Reservoir. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to come out and have fun.
For information, contact Hiking Club Organizer

WINE club
The wine club is back! Thank you to new member Jana Pappas who has volunteered to coordinate this sub-club. If you are interested in a moms night out to relax and socialize, this is the sub-club for you. There’s no pressure and no knowledge about wine required (I think this club is really an excuse to have a night out). For information, contact Wine Club Organizer

Babysitting Co-op Mom Dins Social Events

The purpose of this sub-group is to exchange good and safe child care and to foster friendship among the members and their children. It is just $15 to join the co-op ($10 administration fee and $5 annual dues.) Upon joining, co-op members receive 10 hours' worth of 'tickets' (10 hours of baby-sitting!). You replenish your tickets by sitting for other co-op members. Members have the option to accept or refuse any sit, no excuse needed. There are no age limits in the co-op - just continue your annual MDMC membership and pay the annual Babysitting Co-op dues of $5.

Our Co-op offers Socials each month to meet other members and their children. Socials have been held in members homes and parks. These gatherings are perfect opportunities to get to know others in the co-op so that you have a wider pool of people that you feel comfortable in choosing to sit for your child(ren). In addition to socials, the co-op offers Errand Days and Date Nights in which a member can offer to sit for several children so parents can get things done or go out on a date. Refer to your monthly newsletter to see who is hosting an event, and make your reservations early.

For more information contact the Babysitting Co-Op Organizer

WHAT are Mom Dins you ask? Mom Dins are dinners prepared and delivered by our club moms to new mothers after baby arrives. When you are busy trying to figure out how to adjust to life with a new or another child, you need not worry about making dinner. The club will arrange to have 8-10 dinners brought to you! You can decide when you would like to have the dinners delivered - for instance if you have family staying with you who can help you for the first few weeks, you can arrange to have the dinners started after that.

Our social committee organizes all kinds of fun family events such as park dates, pool parties, the monthly mom's night out, as well as seasonal events like our annual picnic, camping trip, Halloween party and more!
